Order
Ring us or come in with your details, the variety and the day you want it. Give us a few days' notice. We confirm the price and that your variety is available, and take payment.
Delivered
ALC phones you the day before with a delivery window. The truck arrives, the turf comes off, and you lay it the same day while it is fresh.

Sir Walter Buffalo

Sapphire Buffalo
Quote on orderA finer leaf than the other buffalos, with a blue-green tinge. Up to 70% shade, frost and salt tolerant, and it bounces back well after a cold snap.
Empire Zoysia

Augusta Zoysia

Pre-cut 610 x 400 mm pieces, a quarter of a square metre each, in every variety. For the dead spot by the tap or where the dog sits. Ask at the counter.
Measure once. Order the right amount.
Break the lawn into simple shapes, measure each in metres and add them here. Odd corners are fine as triangles. We add wastage for cuts and edges so you do not come up a slab short.
Turf comes in slabs of 1210 x 620 mm, three quarters of a square metre each. The farm cuts a minimum of 15 m² per variety. A full pallet is about 50 m² and weighs up to a tonne, so if your order is bigger than that, think about where the truck can drop it.
If you are between two numbers, go up. Running short on a hot afternoon with half a lawn laid is a bad day.

We confirm
We check your variety is available for your date, confirm the price and delivery, and take payment. Turf is a crop, so weather can shift things by a day or two.
Cut fresh
Your turf is harvested the day before delivery. It is not sitting in a yard somewhere. That is why it needs a few days' notice.
ALC calls the day before
The farm phones you with a delivery window, and again with an ETA on the day. Tell us about tight driveways, gates or low branches when you order.
Lay it the same day
Have the ground prepared before it arrives. Water it in straight away. ALC's prep guide and care guide are worth ten minutes.
Online ordering is on its way.
We are finishing the online order form. Until it is live, ring us or come in and we will take your turf order over the counter, same as always: the variety, how many square metres, and the day you want it. We check price and availability with the farm and ring you back to confirm.
Please give us a few days' notice. Turf is cut to order and the farm needs time to schedule it. Minimum order is 15 m² per variety. In hot weather the farm sometimes stops harvest at short notice, and we will tell you straight away if your day moves.
