Suitable for:
- All lawn grasses including all named varieties of buffalo, traditional couch, Santa Ana couch, kikuyu, bent, fescues and carpet grass
- All grass substitutes such as dichondra (also known as pennywort or kidney weed), lippia, zoysia
Not suitable for:
- Lawn Builder is not recommended for use on plants other than lawn grasses and lawn substitutes
- Do not use on lawns less than 8 weeks old – from germination of seed or installation of instant turf
- Do not use if the temperature is expected to exceed 30 degrees C – wait for a cool spell
How it works
- Lawn Builder is a slow release fertiliser that provides continuous nutrition over a three month period
- Every granule of Lawn Builder + Wetting Agent contains Scotts patented time-release nitrogen
- The included professional grade wetting agent assists moisture to penetrate deep into the root zone and improves the uptake of nutrients
- Nutrients are released at about the same rate that grass roots can take up the fertiliser so there is no wastage, run-off to waterways or damaging surge growth.
How to use
How much will I need?
This Lawn Builder has a recommended application rate of 16g/m2.
To work out how much you will need to fertilise your lawn:
- Calculate the area of the lawn in square metres (multiply the length by the width)
- The area multiplied by the application rate will give the exact amount of Lawn Builder you need
- Use a set of scales to weigh it out and then add it to the spreader ready to apply – do not be tempted to add a ‘bit extra for luck’ because over-application may result in nitrogen burning
When to use
- For best results, feed your lawns three times a year- in early Spring, early Summer and Autumn.
- Avoid feeding lawns in cooler regions in Winter.
The release of nutrients from granules is controlled by temperature.
In Winter when soil temperatures are low and lawn growth is extremely slow in many areas, the granules will simply ‘sit’ there.
Safety Information
IMPORTANT: This product, when wet, will cause iron stains. Be sure to sweep all granules off paths, coping, paving, diveways, shoes, etc immediately after use. Do not allow the granules to come into contact with these surfaces when they are wet.
Store safely out of the reach of children and pets. This product contains iron which can be harmful to dogs’ livers if eaten in quantity.
